Rutland not affected by Leicester lockdown as map is released showing where restrictions are in place

Villages on the outskirts of Rutland are not affected by the Leicester lockdown.

A map showing where the restrictions will be in place has been put out this morning (Tuesday, June 30) – some 12 hours after health secretary Matt Hancock confirmed the strict measures to battle the huge coronavirus spike in Leicester.

It comes as Rutland MP Alicia Kearns reassured Rutland, Melton and Vale of Belvoir residents that cases in her constituency area were low.
