Rutland school choirs combine for first time

For the first time ever, pupils from every school in Rutland will come together to perform in an ambitious concert at De Montfort Hall in Leicester, on Tuesday, October 15.

The concert will include more than 450 pupils aged seven to 16 years and is the culmination of hours of workshops, practices and rehearsals all championed and supported by Rutland’s Music Hub.

This evening of music and entertainment will include Pied Piper! a new work from composer and musical director, Peter Davis.

The first half of the concert will feature performances from the combined primary school choir and the combined secondary school choir, as well as group performances by musicians from Casterton College, and Catmose College. There will also be a small band of professional musicians and a lead solo from a flautist, the all-important piper, from Harington School.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £8 for children under 16 years, from www.demontforthall.co.uk
