Ryhall Village Hall has prepared what is said to be its “best calendar yet”.

The 2016 calendar features fabulous photographs of local views and landmarks and has a special look at the nostalgic return of a 1956 Delaine double-decker bus to the village square – possibly the first time it has been seen in Ryhall since the late 1970s.

Anthony Delaine-Smith of Delaine Buses of Bourne arranged to have the distinctive blue Leyland Titan specially driven to Ryhall and villagers of all ages queued to get onboard.

The result was a series of splendid pictures, two of which are featured in the calendar.

The calendar also features stunning shots of the village and its surroundings.

Anne Virgin, secretary of the hall, said: “We are very proud of this effort and thank everyone who took part.

“Having the Delaine bus made it extra special and people say it is the best calendar yet that we have produced.”

All profits from the calendar, which is now on sale, priced £5, will go to the hall, a registered charity.

It is available from The Village Stores, Ryhall, or hall committee members.
