Sacrewell will open a new outdoor playground to coincide with its Halloween activities
Sacrewell is opening a new outdoor playground to coincide with the start of its Halloween activities.
The new equipment covers an area three times bigger than the previous offering, providing hours of fun for young visitors to the farm this half term.
It opens on Saturday, October 24.
General manager Lee Scowen said: “Play is such a vital part of education and we knew it was time that our outdoor playarea had an upgrade, so we’ve expanded it, making it fun for children of all ages, with a few educational elements in there too.”
The "Scarewell" activities include a spooky mill walk with visitors warned to keep an eye out for some colourful characters on the way and a chance to choose a pumpkin from the patch.
Tickets also include a chocolate making experience with Stamford Heavenly Chocolates which can either be done on site during your visit or provided as a takeaway kit to do at home.
Children are encouraged to dress up and wear a scary costume for their fun day out with plenty of games to enjoy across the site, including hunting the spooks in the maze of mystery and visiting the witches’ dell down by the mill pond.
The farm has also upgraded its animal paddocks.
Entry to the farm must be booked online in advance to manage visitor numbers. Scarewell runs from October 24 to November 1.
