Children from an area devastated by a nuclear disaster had their first taste of sailing.
Rutland Sailability invited a group of youngsters from Belarus to Rutland Water for the day.
The children live in the areas worst affected by the 1986 Chernobyl disaster.
They are visiting the area thanks to Helpston charity the Friends of Chernobyl’s Children, and have also been to Dogsthorpe fire station.
Our picture shows Sailability members, from left, Chris Mynard, Linda Pattison and Nancy Brand with some of the children.
