Sainsbury’s have issued a product recall due to a potential health risk to customers.

The product recall affects jars of mango chutney due to a potential health risk to customers who are allergic to mustard seeds.

The supermarket chain is recalling its by Sainsbury’s Mango Chutney 370g, with ‘best before’ end date of October 2017, because a small number of jars have been incorrectly packaged and may contain lime pickle.

This means the product might contain mustard seeds which are not mentioned on the label - a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard.

Customers are advised not to eat the product. Instead, affected jars should be returned to the Sainsbury’s store from which the product was bought where customers will receive a full refund.
