SAINSBURY’s new super-market will open in Stamford in November.

The company is converting the former Focus DIY store on the Markham Retail Park, off Ryhall Road, into a 20,600 sq ft supermarket.

The new store, which will feature a wide range of food products and a limited range of non-food items, will create up to 230 jobs.

Meanwhile, Cosy Club, which is opening in the former sorting office in Red Lion Square, will open its doors on November 2, creating 30 jobs.

The building is being redeveloped and will include an open-plan restaurant and a private room, which will be available for parties.
