Sainsbury’s opens in Stamford

A NEW supermarket opened its doors in Stamford today (Wednesday).

Sainsbury’s in the Markham Retail Park, off Ryhall Road in Stamford, opened at 9am to the first customers.

Mayor of Stamford John Binder was there to cut the ribbon with store manager Gail Scarlett.

She said: “We are delighted with the new store and I know our customers are going to love all the features.”

The 21,000 sqft store has a full range of food including fresh food counters, as well as homeware items and clothing. There is also a cafe.
