Linchfield Primary School is inspired to go for gold after a visit from Paralympian athlete Sam Ruddock, pictured with pupils Katie Marsh and Kyle Roberts.

Youngsters and staff at the school in Deeping St James learned about Sam’s determination to succeed on the athletics track despite having cerebral palsy, which affects coordination and balance, as a child.

Headteacher Andy Fawkes said: “Sam is a true inspiration who has achieved so much in his life.” Photo: Tim Wilson, SG210116-109TW.
