Scores of Father Christmases, reindeer and little helpers got on their bikes for the Rutland Cycling Santa ride on Sunday (December 20).

The cyclists rode along the shore of Rutland Water between the company’s two shops in Whitwell and Normanton. All riders were treated to mince pies, mulled wine or juice as a reward for their hard work.

Rutland police officers turned up to help with the event and Rutland Cycling deputy store manager Ben Fennell said: “A big thank you goes to Rutland police for taking part in our celebrations and to everyone who took part in the ride.”
