A new school has been granted planning permission and will provide 1,500 places for pupils aged 11-18 by North Northamptonshire Council.

Weldon Village Academy will be located off Oundle Road in Weldon and is being built in a bid to meet demand for places. It will feature two full-sized football pitches.

Cambridge Meridan Academies Trust, which runs Stamford Welland Academy, submitted the application along with the Department for Education and Bam Construction.
