Stamford Welland Academy Trust seeks extra funding for education

A school leader is fighting for extra funding to improve children’s education at a town academy.

Mark Woods, chief executive of the academies trust for Stamford Welland Academy, says he wants ‘a substantial sum’ from the Government because the town school has a growing number of pupils.

Funding is one of the challenges facing the school, according to Mr Woods and headteacher Vicky Lloyd.
