Langtoft Primary School pupils receive free books from the Deepings Lions Club




School councillors were delighted to receive a delivery of free books from the Deepings Lions Club.

Children at Langtoft Primary School will learn how to protect the environment from the series of Wild Tribe Heroes books.

Headteacher James McCullough joined school council members to receive the donation from Lions club member Carol Sterland.

A club spokesman said: "The environment is one of the Lions' five global causes and in particular how we can protect and restore it to improve the wellbeing of all communities.

"Club members have been very pleased to be invited to several school celebration assemblies to donate the books as well as talk to the pupils.

"The author has received personal letters of congratulations from Sir David Attenborough and Prince Charles."

The club has also donated a set of the wildlife books to the Deepings Community Library.
