Stamford Welland Academy to increase pupil numbers with sixth-form a future aim

A rise in pupil numbers at a town school is helping to secure its future expansion.

Stamford Welland Academy will increase the number of pupils it admits each year from 120 to 150 to ensure it can accommodate a growing local population.

The move follows a request from Lincolnshire County Council, which oversees school places.
