Coronavirus crisis: Schools in Stamford and Rutland left to decide for themselves whether to reopen on June 1

Schools across Stamford and Rutland are being left to decide for themselves whether or not to reopen in 10 days’ time.

The Government is recommending that youngsters in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 should be back in classrooms nationwide on Monday, June 1.

However, 11 councils including Calderdale, Bury, Liverpool and Leeds, have opposed the plans due to safety concerns.
