Schools in Stamford and Rutland open to some schools




Some schools across Stamford and Rutland opened today (Monday, June 1) after being left to decide for themselves whether or not to reopen.

The Government recommended that youngsters in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 should be back in classrooms nationwide on Monday, June 1.

However, 11 councils including Calderdale, Bury, Liverpool and Leeds, have opposed the plans due to safety concerns.
