The search is on for the county’s ‘green heroes’ for the prestigious Lincolnshire Environmental Awards 2015.

Entries are being sought for the awards which celebrate community groups, schools, businesses and farmers that play a part in helping the environment.

Chairman of the Awards Committee, Roger Pavey said: “The Lincolnshire Environmental Awards are a great way to share good ideas and celebrate environmental action.

“We want to hear the success stories of people that go the extra mile to reduce their carbon footprint and help wildlife. All of these and more deserve to be more widely known.”

To enter write a short description of your project (200 - 300 words) along with including your contact details and send it to Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, Banovallum House, Manor House Street, Horncastle, Lincolnshire, LN9 5HF or you can apply online at www.lincsenvironmentalawards.org.uk.

The closing date for entries if March 31, following which a judging panel will shortlist projects and those short listed will be contacted.
