A second series of My Mad Fat Diary, a television programme based on the teenage diaries of a former Stamford High School pupil, has been commissioned by Channel 4.

The first six-part series has averaged 1.2 million viewers per episode.

Rae Earl, author of the diaries and a book based on them, grew up in Stamford and now lives in Tasmania.
