Second woman breaks hip tripping on cobbles in Red Lion Square, Stamford
A woman has broken her hip on uneven paving in Stamford - the second such injury within a week.
Gwyneth Martin, 78, had been dropped off in Red Lion Square by her husband, Derek, when her foot went into a gap left by a loose cobble. She fell, breaking her hip.
Gwyneth's granddaughter, Kerry Gray, 37, said her grandad saw the fall and was able to stay with his wife and accompanied her in the ambulance.
