Dole Wood in Thurlby to hold bluebells open day
The popular Dole Wood Open Day takes place on Sunday, April 14 from 10.30am to 4pm.
The event is timed to make the most of the breathtaking spring spectacle as bluebells burst into colour along with a profusion of other wildflowers such as wood anemones, wild garlic and celandine.
This event is free and everyone is welcome.
There will be volunteers, a sales stall plus refreshments, homemade cooking and locally grown plants for sale.
The Open Day at Dole Wood in Thurlby, is organised by local members from the Bourne area group of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.
This year, the Bourne area group, which also covers Stamford and Market Deeping, is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The group organises a lively programme of events every year.
