Stamford Poppy Appeal sellers will man a stall in High Street from Friday October 30

Poppy sellers expect their fundraising to take a hit this year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Plans have been put in place for the launch of the Poppy Appeal in Stamford but coordinator Jim Jackson says the virus will have an impact on this year's figures.

Volunteers will man a stall at Morrisons in Stamford as usual but not in Waitrose or Sainsbury's where they usually take around £16,000.
