A ceremony which has taken place for more than 250 years has made a welcome return.

About 100 people came to watch the annual letting auction of Whitebread Meadow in Bourne on Monday (April 25).

This is an age-old event involving morris men, the letting of a field for a year and children running up and down as the auction takes place.
