MERCURY readers will be able to thank hard-working hospital staff by sending in nominations for a special award.
We have again teamed up with Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals Trust to launch the Stamford Hospital Public Recognition Award.
Our award provides the opportunity to give a well-earned pat on the back to the doctors, nurses and support staff at the hospital.
As part of the trust’s Outstanding Achievement Awards, which highlight the excellent work and achievements of staff, members of the public are being invited to nominate a member of clinical or non-clinical staff, or a team, who they think has gone above the call of duty.
If you know someone who has provided outstanding patient care or made a real difference to their patients then please get nominating.
Three teams or individuals will be shortlisted from the nominations and the winner will be announced at the trust’s awards ceremony on Thursday, November 4.
Trust chairman Nigel Hards said the trust know how hard staff worked and how dedicated they were to providing excellent patient care.
He added: “However, we want our patients to tell us about the staff who have made a difference to them and who they think deserves to be recognised.
“Our patients meet different people and teams at different stages of their care, from initial assessments to those who carry out treatment and to staff who help during recovery and provide after-care.
“We want them to tell us who has made a real difference to their lives.”
To make a nomination complete the coupon in this week’s Mercury.
Please state who you are nominating and why you think the person/team deserves an award.
Everyone nominated will be featured in the paper.
Nominations close on Tuesday, August 30.
