Stamford author joins Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford and BBC broadcaster Clare Balding in book award shortlist

An author is set to rub shoulders with the great and the good of the sporting world tomorrow (Thursday) after being shortlisted for a book award.

Former Stamford AFC footballer Seth Burkett is among eight contenders for the Children’s Sports Book of the Year at the Sports Book Awards 2022.

Play Like Your Football Heroes, co-written with Matt Oldfield and published by Walker Books, is up against some big names, including England striker Marcus Rashford and BBC presenter Clare Balding.
