Staff at Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice are urging local people to search through attics, pull out old albums and flick through vintage magazines in a bid to track down old images of the hospice.

This year, the hospice is marking 25 years of providing care to people from across the region. An open day on the actual anniversary – April 20 – will include a photographic display of Thorpe Hall showing different aspects of its 360 year history.

And it is hoped people from across Stamford and Bourne will be happy to share private photos offering a glimpse into the past of one of the area’s most famous landmarks.

Volunteer Linda Dalton has been involved with Thorpe Hall since it opened in 1991. She is helping to track down old photos and said: “As well as our big anniversary we are also celebrating the life of a building that is very special to so many people across the region and we’d love to collate as much material as possible.”

If you have any photos you are willing to share e-mail Thorpe.fundraising@sueryder.org or call 01733 225999.
