New consultation rooms open after influx of patients at Empingham Medical Centre

A GP surgery that has grown by 2,500 patients in the past six months has developed its consultation facilities.

A new three-room block has been installed in the car park of Empingham Medical Centre providing additional space for appointments with doctors, as well as nurses, physiotherapists and pharmacists.

Although it is a temporary building, permitted to be there for three years, the block’s internal fittings meet the latest NHS standards for covid hygiene and ventilation, and it is kitted out with modern examination couches that can be raised or lowered.
