A comedy show featuring Sherlock Holmes and Watson at their daftest is being staged at Ryhall Village Hall as part of its Jubilee celebrations.

The production features Julian Finnigan and Dominic Goodwin as the famous detective duo. Dominic, has appeared twice before at Ryhall – in The Wind in the Willows and Up Frankie! Both events were outstanding and the hall committee are delighted to welcome him back.

“He is a brilliant performer and puts on an excellent show,” said hall secretary Anne Virgin. “We are so pleased we can stage a show of this calibre after the Jubilee celebrations we should have put on last year were delayed by Covid-19.”

The performance of Sherlock and Holmes: The Farewell Tour is on Friday, October 8, at 7.30pm, with tickets priced at £8.99.

Dominic, who portrays Watson in the show, says: “It’s a very funny piece, which has played to good crowds over the years. As we come out of these awful pandemic days people have a need to laugh; in fact I think that’s more vital now than ever.”

Watson and Holmes, who is played by Julian Finnigan, re-enact one of the detectives’ most baffling unrecorded cases – The Case of the Prime Minister, the Floozie and the Lummock Rock Lighthouse!
