Six people charged after break in at Co-operative Food in Burghley Centre, Bourne

Six people have been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary after a break-in at the Co-operative Food in Burghley Centre, Bourne.

Thieves got into the store via the roof on Monday night and targeted the tobacco kiosk. A substantial amount of cigarette stock was taken.

It was discovered when staff arrived for work on Tuesday morning.

Yesterday (Tuesday) five men and one woman were arrested in the West Midlands area in connection with the offence. Police have charged the following five men and one woman with conspiracy to commit burglary other than a dwelling with intent to steal.

Iacomi Elena Cerasela (female), aged 26, of South Road, Soho, Birmingham

Florin Virgil Gradinaru, aged 32, of Nineveh Road, Birmingham

Petre Dumitru Ilie, aged 41, no address listed

Marian Ionel Raduica, aged 35, Nineveh Road, Birmingham

Viorel Romanescu, aged 35, South Road, Soho, Birmingham

Laurentiu Leontin Smeu, aged 26, no address listed

They are due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday).
