Help for small businesses in Oakham

Businesses are being invited to tell their town council what they need.

Oakham Town Council’s business liaison working group wants to provide specific help to small local firms so that they can continue to survive after a difficult trading year.

A spokesman for the council said: “We are not able to distribute grants, but we are able to signpost towards options that are available.

“We are also keen to get people together to create a network of all Oakham businesses open to supporting each other.”

Stalls are available to businesses that wish to promote services or sell products at the first Summer Band Concert at Cutts Close Park on June 27.

The stalls are free to independent Oakham businesses but space is limited.
