Exton Parish Council to discuss solar farm plan

Plans for a solar farm will be discussed at a special meeting taking place tomorrow evening (Wednesday).

Exton Parish Council will sit at 7pm in Exton Village Hall in order to hear local views about a proposed solar farm.

Econergy wants to use 81 hectares of the Exton Estates land for solar energy capture and storage.

If granted planning permission by Rutland County Council, the panels and batteries would be installed to the west of Barnsdale Avenue.

The closest point of the development perimeter to the village hall, pub and green would be about two-thirds of a mile.

Members of the public are allowed to attend the special meeting to listen to the discussion.
