Between 10am on May 8 and 2pm on May 10, jewellery was also taken from another address in the street.

Another burglary at a different property was reported to have taken place between May 3and May 10, but it is not yet known what was taken.

Homes in Brooke Road and Vicarage Road in Oakham were also broken into between Friday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 11.

Each burglary took place at night while the owners were away and back doors were broken to gain access.

PC Amanda Paddock said: “I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who lives in the area who saw or heard anyone acting in a manner that seemed unusual or suspicious.

“Please cast your mind back. Did you notice anyone in Cricket Lawns who caught your attention? I’m also keen to speak to anyone who has seen or been offered such items for sale.

“Any information you can provide, no matter how insignificant you think it is, could help.”

There has also been a spate of vehicle crime in Stamford.

To report any information call 101.
