Oundle School open new sports centre in Milton Road
A school has opened the doors of its new sports centre and is inviting people to come along to use the facilities.
Oundle School’s new sports facility in Milton Road recently opened to pupils and the wider community.
It boasts a 70-station gym, a dance studio with floor to ceiling mirrors and a ballet bar, fitness studios, and an eight court sports hall.

A 50m swimming pool also graces the centre, which can be used for general swims, lessons and ‘inflatable fun splash sessions’ which were popular when the school’s old sports centre was open.
A number of classes will be running and the school is giving people the opportunity to have a taster session before committing to a membership.
She added: “We want to get the message out that we are here and we are really proud to have it in this beautiful town.”
Currently a number of machines within the gym are not accessible due to the rules surrounding social distancing,
However, if the go-ahead is given on July 19 they will be put back in action.

“Modern sports centres with commercial offerings enhance links with local communities and open up the opportunity of sport not just to their own pupils but to others across the community and beyond.”
