A SPORTS course for people with disabilities will run for another 10 weeks thanks to community generosity.

Rutland Lions gave an early Christmas present to Pacesetters, a group that provides sports activities for people with disabilities and learning disabilities.

Pacesetters is a partnership project between Leicestershire and Rutland NHS, and the Local Sports Alliance, which is part of Rutland County Council.

It has recently completed a ten-week course to provide mixed sports for people with disabilities at Catmose Sports Centre in Huntsman Drive, Oakham.

All the activities are run by professional trainers to try and get people with disabilities and learning disabilities active.

The Lions donated £250 to enable the course to run for a further 10 weeks.
