The official opening of the new Corn Exchange Shopping Arcade in Broad Street, Stamford took place on Saturday.
The ribbon was cut by the deputy mayor and mayoress Tony and Val Story.
The Shopping Arcade, refurbished by volunteers from the theatre, has re-energised the retail area at the Corn Exchange with nine shop units all run by independent local businesses, 20 display cabinets and a coffee house.
The opening on Saturday was a fun and busy day for all.
There were balloons and crafts for the children to enjoy, visits by costumed characters from Sukies Party Emporium and chocolate workshops, making delicious chocolate lollies for all ages run by Stamford Heavenly Chocolate.
The new arcade has been open since the beginning of the month to give traders time to settle in.
