Stamford drivers aged 40 and over urged to get regular eye tests

DRIVERS over the age of 40 in Stamford are being urged to have regular eye examinations because of their increased risk of developing the eye disease glaucoma.

Specsavers in Uffington Road, Stamford, is backing this year’s National Glaucoma Awareness Week, which launches on Monday.

The campaign is calling for people currently driving and at risk of having glaucoma, to have eye examinations at least once every two years.
