STAMFORD takes centre stage in a new romantic novel which has hit the bookshops.

Seeking, the latest novel by accomplished author Jon Beattiey, is set in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s and takes its inspiration from the Lincolnshire towns of Stamford and Louth.

Mr Beattiey spent much of his childhood in Louth and would often spend time visiting Stamford.

He said: “The story owes much to my formative years. My memories of the time have vividly returned to form the backbone of Seeking.

“I did a lot of research for the book in Stamford and the opening sequence is based entirely on something that once happened while I was there.

“It’s a pure romance written in an entirely different way. It’s a story of mystery and love - and some of it may even be true.”

Seeking is published by Troubador Publishing Ltd and is available to buy for £13.50.
