PUPILS stepped back in time to the Victorian era for a day.
Thirty two children from Stamford Junior School’s Year 1 class enjoyed the experience at the Stibbington Day Centre, a former Victorian village school near Peterborough, last week.
The youngsters were fully immersed in Victorian times as they arrived dressed in costumes and were given a Victorian name to use for the whole day.
Activities included examining traditional household artefacts and much more. The highlight of the day included being taught in a Victorian classroom, where children got a taste of what lessons were like more than 100 years ago.
