A road maintenance team has resurfaced a road in Stamford around a parked car leaving a patch of tarmac on the road.
The Lincolnshire County Council highway works team carried out the work in High Street St Martin’s on Monday.
The owner of the car could not be traced so the work was carried out around the vehicle.
The photos were taken by Claire Lake, who lives in High Street St Martin’s.
Lincolnshire County Council area highways manager Kevin Brumfield said: “We were adding a high-friction surface onto the road and obviously encountered a parked car.
“Because the job only took a few hours to complete, our workmen felt it was easier to do as much as they could and then come back to finish it another day.”
The county council has not said when the work will be completed.
