Councillors will discuss whether or not to refund traders who were due to take part in Stamford Christmas Festival at a meeting this week.

Stamford Town Council has arranged an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday, December 15, at 6.30pm in the town hall in St Mary’s Hill.

The only item on the agenda is the Christmas festival, and councillors will be asked to “consider the expenditure costs and position on trader fees”.

So far the council has given no indication of whether or not traders will be refunded after the event, which was due to take place on November 29, was cancelled because of predicted bad weather.

The meeting is open to the public. Details can be found on the Stamford Town Council website.
