COUNCILLORS will be making a decision on the Riverside Festival’s application at a closed meeting.
Stamford Town Council will discuss the Riverside Association of Music and Arts application to use The Meadows for next year’s event behind closed doors on Thursday.
The council has issued a statement after being asked to explain why the meeting is closed.
It states: “Statutory regulations enable the town council to discuss any matter it might consider sensitive in closed session. Any resolutions from any such meeting will be made public.”
The association made a presentation to the amenties committee on Tuesday.
