BOARD members of a partnership group say they are confident a new town partnership will emerge once funding is readily available.
Stamford Town Partnership Community Interest Company will wind up after its Stamford Feast event in June and is hoping Stamford Town Council will take on responsibility for organising the annual Christmas Festival.
In a statement, co-chairman of the partnership Philip Sagar said: “All the current board are confident that a new partnership or group with similar aims would emerge in due course as and when funding became more readily available.”
He said the costs of operating as a community interest company were “greater than other structures available that could follow”.
Mr Sagar said the partnership had operated for a year without any core funding and he said it was no longer thought to be the best way forward “now those funds have all but dried up”.
Any funds left over in the partnership will be passed over to the most appropriate body.
