Stamford Welland Academy pupils are settling into the new term in stylish new uniforms.

The school, which has begun its first full year under the sponsorship of Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust, decided last year to create a new uniform to help pupils identify more with the new start.

The new uniform was designed by former pupil Jaime Russon, 29, who has seen her professional work showcased on the catwalks at London and Paris Fashion Weeks, and has designed outfits for pop stars including the Black Eyed Peas, Azealia Banks, and Beyonce.

The new uniform includes a black blazer with grey taping on the lapels, embroidered with the school’s lion crest. It incorporates the colours of the three school houses.
