YOUNG role models have been rewarded for their hard work.
Youth group Teenzone, based at Christchurch in Green Lane, Stamford, gave out prizes to its junior leaders at a ceremony yesterday.
The 13 and 14-year-olds take on adult tasks with the group to help boost their self-confidence and responsibility.
The prizes were introduced this year to reward the youngsters for being role models and their effort and enthusiasm.
Ali Rigby, who runs Teenzone, said: “Young people don’t always see the good they are doing, so we wanted to show them by giving out awards.
“It will be carried forward for at least the next few years.”
