Store’s thanks after generous donations of outdoor clothes

A shop is celebrating after helping to collect more than 9,000 donated items of outdoor clothing nationwide.
Rohan in High Street, Stamford, took part in the chain’s Gift your Gear appeal throughout March. As part of the initiative, which was set up by Rohan’s co-founder Sarah Howcroft, the clothes donated are passed onto local community organisations, youth groups and charities for outdoor projects.
Some of the items given to the Stamford store will be donated to the Endeavour charity, which is based in Bourne and runs outdoor experiences for disadvantaged people.
Rohan Stamford manager Dee Phillips said: “Our customers have been incredibly generous and we would like to pass on our thanks. Some of the items being donated have great stories and histories attached to them or have travelled miles across the globe.”
