Popular Langham Street Market set to return next month

More news, no ads

Shoppers will be delighted when Langham Street Market returns next month after the pandemic forced its cancellation last year.

There will be a number of changes in place at this year's event, to be held on the August Bank Holiday (Monday, August 30), to ensure it is as covid-safe as possible.

The organisers have decided to avoid activities which take place indoors and any outdoors activities which are likely to attract large crowds, with stalls spaced further apart to keep everyone safe.

From 10.30am to 4pm, a host of stalls will be found Church Street to Melton Road and down to the junction with Well Street. There will also be a number of stalls on driveways further down Church Street towards the main parking area on Ashwell Road.

However, there will still be something for everyone to enjoy on the day, from market stalls selling a variety of items to a tombola and a grand raffle with many prizes to be won.

All profits made on the day will be used for refurbishments and maintenance for the village hall.

For market stall application forms, please email pennyviner@btconnect.com or call on 01572 771115. There are three price bands from £15 (for Langham residents) and stalls must be booked and paid for in advance.
