Burglaries in Uffington, Tallington and West Deeping

People are urged to remain vigilant after a string of burglaries.

On Friday evening last week (November 19), three properties were broken into in villages to the east of Stamford.

Burglars entered the homes in Uffington, Tallington and West Deeping through ground floor windows and doors, and stole items.

The incidents are believed to be connected, and occurred between 6pm and 9pm.

Police inspector Gary Stewart said: "We are appealing for witnesses to these crimes.

"Even if you are just going out for a short while, in the darker evenings make sure anything which is valuable is locked away.

"People should also keep an eye out for their neighbours."
