Stamford Summer School 2019 a success

Students from countries such as Denmark, Germany and Spain were in Stamford as part of the town's annual summer school.

About 50 students aged between 13 and 18, stayed with host families in Stamford between July 20 and August 3.

Matt Edwards, a music teacher who has bee involved with the school for the last 16 years, said: "The summer school was just so energetic and dynamic. They were so busy and got up to so much."

As well as lessons, they went on day trips to the likes of London and Manchester.

They were also given a tour of Nelson's factory, purchased fruit and vegetables from Nathan's fruit and vegetable stall and made pizzas and smoothies at Aloha.

The staff and students were very grateful for this.
