Summer fete at St Mary and All Saints’ Church in Kirkby Underwood raises £1,500

BOWLING for a pig and crockery smashing were some of the fun games held at a summer fete held on Saturday.

Kirkby Underwood Summer Fete committee raised more than £1,500 at the annual event which will be divided between the village hall and St Mary and All Saints’ Church to help pay towards their maintenance costs.

More than 200 people visited the fete at Kirkby Underwood Village Hall which also included stalls, a tombola, a grand draw and much more.

Summer fete committee secretary Anthony Andrews, of Canon’s Lane, Kirkby Underwood, was pleased with how it went.
