A team of walkers will carry a baton through the area as part of a 3,000-mile charity relay.

The 15 friends from the Stamford and Peterborough area will take part in the Sport Relief race known as Team Honk.

The challenge kicked off at Land’s End on January 12 and will finish in John O’Groats on March 23.

On Sunday next week the baton will arrive at Peterborough train station before being taken through Helpston, Bainton and Burghley House to Stamford.

From there Simon Wright, of, will take it on a penny farthing to Baston.
