VILLAGE residents used the excuse of a fundraising table top sale for a catch up.
The sale in the Audit Hall in Audit Hall Road, Empingham, raised £277 for the hall funds.
Audit Hall committee members are trying to raise the profile of the hall and what the venue has to offer.
Spokesman Pauline Griffiths said: “Those who came really enjoyed it. We were selling teas and there were a lot of people standing around and chatting.
“It’s a good opportunity for everyone to have a jolly good catch up with each other.”
There were plants, flowers, wreaths, Christmas gifts and cakes on sale at the event.
The committee has a number of events planned for the new year and a band night and a special Diamond Jubilee celebration are on the cards.
